Hello Wrestling Great Bridge Wrestling Fans,
The Hickory High School Coach was nice enough to allow Coach Norm to use a new fund raiser idea that was very effective for them.
The idea is to have supporters pledge a certain amount of money for each pin the team gets during a particular month. This is great timing for us because pins score more team points and what better time for extra incentive than tournament month. We plan to run our fund raiser the month of February.
I need to know how many pins we had last year during the district, regional and state tournaments so if anyone has that information, please get it to me if you can. Any other data we have on total pins last February would be helpful in estimating what supporters can expect to pay at the end of the fund raiser.
Attached is a draft of the fund raiser letter we will give to each supporter. If you have anything to add, please let me know. I will try to have packets ready this week.

Desserts - they are in short supply. If anyone can provide some, it would be appreciated.
Soda - Each wrestler should bring three 2-liter bottles of soda.

PEANUT SALESAll peanuts have been distributed to the selling wrestler.
If there are any discrepancies, let me know so I can resolve
Remember, you can order individually from Virginia Diner Web-Site and ship anywhere in the world and we make 30%.The peanuts have arrived. Virginia Diner did a good job of boxing each order individually and has the name of the seller on the box.
I have a copy of each order and will staple to the box for your reference. If you want it now, let me know otherwise it will probably be this weekend or Monday before I get them all distributed to the seller.

BEAST OF THE EAST.... I have reserved 17 hotel rooms for the Beast of the East Tournament at the Courtyard Newark - University of Delaware. It's a nice place just across campus from the field house. I stayed there last year. The group rate is $129 per night (which saves you $20). Seven of the rooms are reserved for the wrestlers and coaches. The rest are available for families, Booster Club members, etc. If you would like one of these rooms, you must call the hotel and provide a credit card number before 16 November, at which point the rooms will be released. Most of the hotels in the campus area are already sold-out, so don't delay.
The rooms are reserved under "Great Bridge High School Wrestling Team".

BEAST OF THE EAST TICKETS.
Theresa Ables will be coordinating the purchase of a block of tickets in the University of Delaware's Bob Carpenter Center for those interested in attending the Beast of the East on 15 & 16 Dec. For those who have not attended in the past, this is a very large field house and there will be upwards of 16 matches occurring simultaneously.
